rent a centers and pay day loans are much more clear cut cases of being criminal. So is selling a 150 car radio for 350, then charging a 100 to install it.

You're forgetting about Wal Mart's check cashing "service" and other offerings designed to screw people. It's not just the obvious retail component. They are absolutely no different than a Rent A Center or pay day loan place.

    Yes.

  7. Stupid people are being duped?? News at 11.

  8. Banks charging 10 dollars per month for checking accounts with less than 1,500 dollars in them is also very telling.

  9. I think some of you guys are missing the idea of tax cuts to the rich. It's not about the "trickle down" effect, at least not directly.

If an individual is making 1 billion/yr it can be said that without tax cuts or breaks, they're probably paying 500 million at base. That's a lot of money to put into investments. The more money put into investments, the richer the country becomes. It may not lead to direct monetary gain for less fortunate people but it does lead to cheaper goods and more employment. I think it's fairly apparent how much more shit people have now than they did in the early-mid 90's. More and more housing developments are popping up with $300,000+ houses, there are less old cars on the road, everyone has a XBox or PS3, most RESPONSIBLE people can afford good housing arrangements. We're far too defensive of the people who lag behind in this country. There is no good excuse for almost any family (one with two parents) to be making $20,000/yr. There really isn't any good excuse for a single parent to be bringing in that little money. If there is a good excuse, there's certainly not a good excuse to have children.

The rich make this country go round. You can hate on them all you want but it doesn't change the fact.

I love that. It costs you money to have no money.
