Thread: Batman: Arkham City

  1. Worst backlog ever.

-STILL haven't finished The Witcher 2.
-Currently working my way through Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine (awesome game)
-Plugging away at Gears 3 when people are on
-Battlefield 3 on the horizon to steal all of my time
-Really wanting to play Deus Ex as soon as possible
    -Skyrim coming out soon
-And then this, the sequel to one of my favorite games this gen...

I've had bigger backlogs before, but none completely full of "oh my god I have to play this" games before. I was also interested in the new Ace Combat, Forza 3, and Dark Souls, but those are pipe dreams at this point. Especially when my PS3 has a busted disc drive. Hopefully Uncharted 3 will be available for download.

  2. By the time you get around to the game, it will be cheaper. Maybe even with a GOTY edition with all the preorder bullshit packed in.

  3. I'm not 12 anymore.
I'm more than willing to wait for the inevitable GOTY edition, and its inevitable $20 price drop.

  4. This game feels like this console gen's Spider-Man 2. Open world, lots of sidequests, etc.

But everything was crap in that game except for the webslinging and, by extension, the time trials.

  6. That much being done completely right puts it over so many other games though. How rare is it for any game to get any one element down perfectly?

  7. I'm feeling kind of overwhelmed by this game. There's so much shit to do and such a huge city to comb for it. Riddler Challenges are generally fun, but 400 of 'em? Gawl damn.

Was kind of hoping for something a bit more focused and semi-linear like AA's campaign, honestly. The amount of content here borders on excessive.

  8. Screw finding everything. Gliding and punching freaks in the face is what this is about.

That's almost exactly how I feel. Fortunately it plays very tight and the content that's there seems pretty well done so far.
