You make good points about the control scheme though.
The deal is I like it! Just not as much as Asylum so far. That one had better...flow, I guess. This one is nuts in how it just lets the leash off - both for better and worse in different ways.

For the controls, I'll start thinking of it as you guys are saying - one trigger to quickfire/aim and another for sub/main. The complication I was getting related more to how the game describes each combination for each gadget as its own unique action, rather than the way you guys describe it.

I think the complaints are totally valid, both things feel a little overwhelming at first and we're all super video game guys. Imagine a noob getting tossed into the game; definitely too much.

But it's still really good once you get over that.

  3. Yeah, I said much the same as Hero when I first got it. The city is super-overwhelming when you first get thrown into it and there's a million side missions being thrown at you right away.

By the end of the game, though, I knew it like the back of my hand.

I generally don't like the Rockstar way of locking away massive cuts of an open-world game off until you hit the right story beat, but I don't think it's a faulty premise altogether, they just go overboard on it. I do think it's a good idea to cordon off a small slice for maybe the first hour or two to get folks acclamated, but after that point, tear the lid off and let 'em go nuts in the whole sandbox, don't stagger more area unlocks over 20-hour increments.

  4. I hate that the city is shaped like an upside down U.

It's only to make Zsazz phone calls really annoying

  5. Fly fat ass, fly! Easy to get to those phones.

  6. turn that frown upside down, once you get the hang of flying through the city via grappleboosting and divebombing you'll have that dumb phone shit done in no time

  7. I beat the game, and I never missed a phone call - I just think the U shape of the city is retarded.

  8. Played 20 minutes of this last night and really enjoyed it. I never finished AA, maybe I should go finish that up but probably not.

  9. Free Batman Inc Skin

That's the link for the 360 version, PSN has it too.

  10. This game is so much more focused than I thought it would be based on you guys

Yeah side missions pop up, but they're really in the background unless you want them to be your focus. The city is also nice, but in five hours I already know where about every major structure is because compared to say GTA this shit feels small; but when you cladd in the large indoor areas and sewers ot does get much larger. Maybe its just Skyrim talking.

Thats not to say this game is bad though, its fucking INCREDIBLE.
