I tried this for a bit. The fast grapple thing is AWESOME.
It took me a few hours to get into this game, but once I got into gliding around and using the tools in combat it got pretty awesome. I'm only like 30% done. It's better than Asylum IMO.
I also haven't gotten all the side missions activated yet, I hope I'm not missing anything.

Weird shit is happening to the Steam version. Mysterious 130 MB patch completely broke savegames. The games are still on my HDD but the game doesn't detect them in the normal location. I'm not sure where to put them to fix it.
Also, Games For Windows Live no longer even initializes in the Steam version. The in-game button is still there but pressing it doesn't do a thing.
I really hope this was just a botched attempt at removing GFWL permanently because oh god it sucks.
edit: Looks like it was an unfinished preliminary patch. It's been rolled back and my save is working again. GFWL is back as well, sighhhhhhh

HA! HA! I AM USING THE INTERNET!!1
My Backloggery
Nope. I did several of them after the credits rolled.
I remember reading some people claiming some stuff locked out but now I'm reading that it's bullshit and that you can do everything.
Finished it, felt really short. Although I only went through the story-essential stuff and didn't have the Catwoman Buy This Bullshit Pass. Does it make much of a difference?
Once I got used to moving about the city and ignoring all the constant cries for subquesting, I was digging it. The Challenge missions are addicting too. Although I still like Asylum more. Something about it was more cohesive, and being stuck in the Asylum and all added to the mood. Plus the premise of one guy being stuck in the crazy house isn't as far fetched as some citywide referendum to turn a chunk of city into a concentration camp.
Also, City kinda pokes holes in its own logic One inmate questions out loud to another "if this is a prison and they don't want us out, why do they keep giving us guns and weapons?" Good question!
