failing that, grab a bootleg version and just install with your cd key or whatever

Latter is the final resort for me.

Tried to do the former and found that there is actually a physical defect in the disc, corrosion within the disc!

Attempting to get WB to send me a replacement but they're all, "Go back to the retailer"...they totally ignored the part where I bought it in a different country.

I wonder how such atrocious things like that get greenlit. I know that covers are essentially shelf-space advertising, but that's just not compelling at all. And for some reason crap like that is becoming commonplace. At this point a stark, simple image with no bullshit publisher icons and just the title would stand out more, in addition to being 100x better in the first place.

The thing is, it's almost like this is an inside joke. Arkham Asylum's GOTY edition had similar packaging and it was laughed about for ages. This one is actually worse.
