This game sounds pretty cool. Trust meter is an interesting idea, and I like the idea of controling a squad of characters.

I love The Thing movie, and I wonder how close will the game come to capturing the feel of it.

  2. Hot damn! I've been waiting for some info on this game for a while.

I don't think it's possible for it to accurately translate to game. The movies themes of isolation, and trust (I don't think the meter will be that cool) would be almost impossible to convey in a control-based format. I still look forward to playing the game, as I'm a huge fan of the movie (Most likely in my top 15). I'm just hoping they turn out an enjoyable game based on the comics/movie's characters.

If they can translate the insolation into the game, I'll be absolutely floored...
    Boo, Hiss.

  3. The Thing is one of my favorite movies of all time! That was such a freaky movie. I still can't believe that someone's making a game based on it, nonetheless one that sounds like it's going to be great. All of the previews are really positive about it. When you come to think of it, The Thing would make an awesome basis for a game. It seems like the developers are fans of the movie, as there seems to be lots of little details from the it in the game- you can do the bloodtest, and you can even find the tape recorder that Kurt Russell used to keep a journal of what was going down towards the end- that's a nice little touch. I'm really excited about this game.

    MacReady rules. Nice hat.

Dolemite, the Bad-Ass King of all Pimps and Hustlers
Gymkata: I mean look at da lil playah woblin his way into our hearts in the sig awwwwwww

  4. Hahah. Good to see at least 2 people here interested in the game, and loving the film

  5. I bought the first issue of the Official X-Box magazine, with the DVD preview. The game that had me most interested, was the Thing. The game looks intense.

I'm glad that the game will also be released on the PS2, as I have yet to purchase an X-Box. Great looking game!
