I agree with this, but I never really got that far in the DS Zeldas because they weren't doing it for me. Loved Minish Cap though.

I loved Minish Cap and it is most definitely better than Spirit Tracks. It isn't even close really. The thing that I loved most about Minish Cap was the items you collected throughout the game weren't the same as the ones you collect in EVERY other Zelda game. I think I prefer Phantom Hourglass over Minish Cap though. Besides having to redo that one dungeon over and over (which sucked) I thought the game was really fresh and, for me at least, the touch screen controls worked perfectly. I also thought Linebeck was a breath of fresh air to the usual Zelda characters.

  3. Man, FUCK Twilight Princess. Franchise killer for me (haven't played a Zelda game in some 4+ years)

  4. Minish Cap is so terrible, completely forgettable besides that general sense of dullness and lack of willingness to do anything interesting.
DS Zeldas at least tried, and Spirit Tracks is inarguably better than any of the other portable Zeldas except for Link's Awakening as played in 1993. That's it, you can't even argue about it.
    Donk

  5. Fuck that. Spirit Tracks is awful.

  6. No, Diff-chan, it's pure of heart.
    Donk

  7. So you are saying the problem is not the game, but my blackened soul?

I don't buy it. Phantom Hourglass was awesome.

  8. Maybe, but maybe not. It's still bad if you can't see its pure heart, maybe you should just close your eyes and see what counts.
    Donk

  9. I've played and enjoyed all of the N64 and GC Zelda games, but I couldn't get into the older games at all. Maybe if I had played them when they were new, I'd have felt differently. Having already played OoT and games like Terranigma, LttP just seemed archaic and dull.

Combine it with the fire of Pokemon, the water of Wave Race, and the Earth of Earthbound, and the wind of Pilot Wings and you can summon Captain Planet. ...But when he shows up all he does is design a Mii.
