Thread: Assassin's Creed Revelations

  1. Agreed that AC1 was pretty damn boring and repetitive but AC2 is better than the sum of its parts and is a bit of an evolution on POP for the mainstream. The portable AC1 is downright garbage and AC2 DS is more like an action platformer akin to Sonic than anything else once you understand how to play it.

  2. This is the cover of the next Game Informer. It takes place in Constantinople/Istanbul. You'll be playing as the same dumbasses you have in the series so far.

It looks like exactly the same game. I really don't know how people keep playing these identigames year after year.

  3. I blame a combination of outspoken fans and normal greed for that. I think the original layout was supposed to be past-present-future for each game of the trilogy, but people bitched up a storm at the thought of the majority of the game occurring in recent times and Ubisoft made some good money from it. They do have really awesome art and design for the ancient times but I wish they would wrap up the main story first, and after that they can make all these sidequest games.

  4. Yeah, this is not Assassin's Creed 3, it's Assassin's Creed 2 part 3. Yawn, kinda.

  5. Played AC1, skipped AC2, played Brotherhood, will skip this with the force of a thousand suns.

Soooo... more of the same and yet so surprisingly improved that it makes the previous game unplayable?

  7. Yeah, I don't see the problem. I liked 2, Brotherhood improved on 2. So it sounds like if I like brotherhood, Revelations will improve on it.

  8. I kind of like these games even though I'd never buy anywhere near full price. They're so cheerfully goofy that I can't hate.
