Thread: Assassin's Creed Revelations

  1. AC2 sucked. It was like the first game with fancier missions but none of the actual problems fixed.

why are people playing what looks like more AC2?

I guess some of us had fun with AC2.

The multiplayer is also probably the most interesting since Pandora Tomorrow.

The only two actual problems I had with AC1 were the missions and the large amount of context sensitive controls, so I'd say they got one out of two. There are flaws in every main AC game but it's almost always just something to do with the side missions.

I do wish they'd tone down the context stuff or find better ways to do it, as the amount of actions that are assigned to the face buttons is getting positively ridiculous at this point. Maybe it's time to make left trigger into a second shift key or something.

  4. I didn't realize that you recruit and assign enough assassins to form a small army in this game.

AND I got all of the best armor not even halfway through the game, well before the second standard set of armor was able to be purchased in the store.

I did all of this within the first 5 sequences. At this rate, I'll have everything done in the game without even getting close to finishing the story.

The pacing of this game is REALLY fucked up.

  5. Armor? I have't even seen any of the "special armor" yet. I think I'm only on Seq. 4 and have 3 of the keys.

You get one for find information the memoir pages and beating a dungeon and the other for getting 7 (?) Assassins to level 11.

It's been like that since at least AC2, I don't recall the armor in AC1. If you bother to keep up on collecting and side missions you'll always get the best stuff in the game way before the weaker stuff finishes becoming available.

You also recruit a ton of assassins because you need them, provided you're doing sidequests and want money. They need to get to max level (which requires them being away on missions and unavailable to the player) to then be set in dens to make them invincible to attack. If you want to keep the cities you take over without micromanaging all the time you also need to station assassins in those cities, which completely removes them from your available list and you need to get a fresh recruit. I think you can station like three or four per city, so you'd need like 40 or so maxed assassins to have everything.

p.s. Running around town as Desmond with his backpack is kind of silly awesome.

  8. I just watched Embers and I think they aged Ezio and regressed Sofia. In the game she seems old enough for him to hit on and be okay but in the movie it really looks like a father/daughter thing.

  9. Maybe she likes a little snow on the roof!

...and gets off on eating raisins!
