It really just comes down to whether you like Halo & Gears or Naughty Dog & Japan.
I saw an xbox one in person last night and had to fight back the chuckles
This is a dumb image that doesn't even hold up to scrutiny, why did they cut off before 2010? Also why did they exclude XBLA releases?
This is a better indication of both retail and XBLA exclusives over the years and it's not even including other Microsoft published games or games that aren't on PS3:

I think it was meant specifically to show off MS's downfall. They were obviously doing extremely well in the market (and in my heart) until a very definite point, and they've been declining steadily right up to the One's launch.
No one cares before 2010 because there's no argument about what the better console was back then.

Yeah, as soon as they dropped everything and tried to push Kinect down everyone's throat, that's when I started to lose interest. I had around 100 360 games at one point, and I think I have 12 now? In contrast, I have over 50 PS3 games.
And most of the stuff on XBLA that interests me is available on the PS3 as well. The only thing that wasn't was Minecraft (for my kids), and that's on PS3 now as well.
Then again, I think both the Xbone and PS4 are shit so far, so maybe it's just modern gaming in general that has me jaded. The only recent machine I really play anymore is my 3DS, and I spend more time watching YouTube on my PS3 than actually playing it.
What 12 games did you keep?
The 360 certainly went on a decline as far as quantity of games went but they still had some good to great stuff from 2010 to 2012. Granted, you had your duds/lukewarm titles like Fable III, Crackdown 2, Deadlight, Ascend: Hand of Kul, Halo: Spartan Assault, and a few others but the quality was still relatively high on the main retail releases.
2010: Halo Reach, Alan Wake, Deathsmiles, Splinter Cell Conviction, Snoopy Flying Ace, ilomilo, Dead Rising 2: Case Zero, Dead Rising 2: Case West
2011: Gears of War 3, Halo Anniversary, Forza 4, Iron Brigade, Ms. Splosion Man, The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile, Toy Soldiers Cold War, Crimson Alliance, Bangai-O HD Missile Fury
2012: Forza Horizon, Alan Wake America Nightmare, Halo 4, The Splatters, Mark of the Ninja, Witcher 2, Trials Evolution, Happy Wars
2013: Battleblock Theater, Akai Katana, Gears of War Judgment, State of Decay, Charlie Murder, Motocross Madness
2014: Fable Anniversary, Titanfall (Xbox One/360), World of Tanks 360 Edition, Warface, Max: The Curse of Brotherhood (Xbox One/360), Super Time Force (Xbox One/360)
2013 and 2014 are definitely slim pickings with a mix of retail, XBL, and F2P games. Certain titles that were supposed to be on the 360 originally either went to the One (Ryse) or both (Halo Spartan Assault, Super Time Force, Titanfall, Max: The Curse of Brotherhood). Agreed about the Kinect stuff though, outside of a few games here and there I found it to be a complete waste of time and resources which just clogged up the shelves with shovel ware.
