Well, you didn't miss anything.
Some more extraneous gimmicks were shown, and not a single game was announced.
Hopefully third parties pick up the slack.

It's just a testament to how little Japan matters now. There was no way they were going to waste announcements on TGS.

It's such a bummer too, because recently I've been getting back into Japanese stuff. I think I'm enjoying it because it's so different (when done right) than Western games.

Every now and then I get this hunger for a Japanese RPG or action game only because their different. In generalities though all the best stuff for the last many years has been western.

This lack of Bluetooth headset support is some bullshit. This system has been in development how long? And you left out an obvious feature that you already got right with your previous console until some future patch?
