I hear this all the time, and I've commented on it before. I don't get it.
People drop $60 on a game that they'll play for 8-12 hours (or in my case, not at all!), no big deal.
The controller that you will use to play all those games for years and years? $60 is too much.
Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't cry if they were cheaper. But considering how much use it will get, $60 ain't bad. You spend it once and you're set for at least a couple years.

Here's my issue with it, if I buy a second controller its going to be for multiplayer, and not used as much. 60 bucks for something that's going to get used from time to time makes me go ehhh nevermind. 40 bucks I'd be more willing to jump on for something that'll be used occasionally.

Get them from Costco. For $20 you get a shit load of them.

I only bought 1 extra set. Which I didn't buy at the same time, if I remember right I got the Wiimote like 6 + months before I picked up a second nunchuck. I suppose technically 2 if you count the SS bundle and Club Nintendo nunchuck, but I didn't pay cash money for the CN one, and the SS bundle was only 10 bucks more than just the game. I do have some others, but they're not complete sets and were either gifts from family, or my GF's ones from before we moved in together.

GF gave her to her brother, forgot about that. So we only have 3 complete sets, of which I only bought 1.
