Those are called ports.
If the PS4 can't play disc Borderlands 2, it can't play DD Borderlands 2 either. This isn't too complicated.
I'm not talking about, or worried about full releases. I'm talking a out how the ps1 classics work on psp/vita/ps3.
That's why I love GOG. Getting old shit to run can be a huge pain in the ass sometimes.

Sony will have to make a new emulator for PS1 classics that runs on the PS4. They did it for Vita and offered it for free, so hopefully they follow that example again and don't get any ideas from Nintendo.
I'm assuming that PSN will stay up but now support a 4th console, the PS4. I can still boot up my PSP, log in and download an old game or buy a new game.
I know some online servers are hosted by the game companies and not Sony (like Demon's Souls), so what will be playable online and for how long is a crap shoot.
