With PS3 emulation looking highly doubtful until PS5 hits, I'd be willing to pay a little more to have PS3 hardware added. Yes, it's THAT important.

Finished in 2021: 8 games (PC: 4, PS4: 2, PS3: 1, X1: 1)
I've rarely used PS2 games on my PS3.
Ya know, growing up, I was all about the consoles. It was fun to have arguments about which consoles had better hardware, better gaming ecosystems, cooler innovations, which companies were better stewards of all this.
Having spent the last five years largely ignoring consoles in favor of my PC, and Steam, I can't say I really had any eager amount of anticipation in regards to this next generation of consoles. If anything, I think it's a good thing that they're X86-based, because it means more console games are likely to see release for PC, too. So that's cool.
I will say there are some cool features Sony has going for the PS4, though, which might make some Steam users perk up! Like the ability to share video which has been recorded using a specialized chip - dang! That's neat. I also like the idea of separating content into chunks so you can begin playing your downloadable games before it's finished.
It's cool to see Sony getting competitive with that Steam mentality. Hopefully this will push innovation on all fronts!
I'll cry if arcade sticks won't work on these new systems. Them things aren't cheap once customized and broken in.
they'll probably need new pcbs if its usb3 unless there's an auto sensor or software switch that shuts off the usb3 power features
I agree.

USB 3 isn't completely backward compatible? Seriously?
