Funniest thing is that if the new Nintendo console has the controller with built in screen, and the horsepower it is rumored to have, it essentially is a Vita, minus a few features.
Looking forward to the upcoming PS3 lineup though.

iphone/ipad is the only portable that matters.
"gaming" portables are so last decade.
I really would pay premium price for a phone that did everything and anything I needed for work and played games. Whoever gets that market first will have me diving dick first into the store to buy it.
I like the 3DS's 3D effect less every time I play it. It's neat but I don't like looking at it for long periods of time and it doesn't add much/anything other than the novelty factor. I know the Yoshis of the world will point out that I look at 3D all day and it's more real, but it's really not. It doesn't look like a little hologram, it still feels artificial and shallow.
PSV doesn't have the lineup to sell me one yet, but it's a good piece of hardware at the right price, so that's a good start.
I'm not gonna lie. It looks real good.
If they get some games on it, I'm in.
And touchscreen shooters!
Boo, Hiss.
Your contract covers so much of that free-to-$199 pricetag with a phone that it's ridiculous and stupid to scoff at the $249 pricing of a product as powerful as the Vita.
But I completely agree that it's so much more appealing to have it all in one device and it's ridiculous that the only phone-option we have so far is the fucking bullshit Xperia Play.
