Yeah, that's not tablet like an iPad. It's just a controller with a screen that receives data from the base.
It's pretty much a tablet controller, though. Stylus functionality and everything.

Pretty good e3. Finally starting to feel like my PS3 purchase was justified, but weirdly the most exciting thing I've seen so far has been the Ico & SOTC HD release date. Depressed about no new Last Guardian info. Twisted Metal and Rayman Origins.
Nintendo's 3DS stuff looks great and the Wii U seems like a pretty good idea. They also seem more serious than ever about generic 3rd party support and internet, but I think the time when people buy Nintendo consoles for those reasons has passed.
They also totally dumped the Wii at that conference.
Did capcom talk about fixing MvC3 netplay at all?
Boo, Hiss.
You can't have it both ways. As a business advocate, can you blame them for towing the line when it's worked for them every generation? There's a thousand things they could do that would solely benefit the consumer, ranging from the simple to the unsustainable. That they don't do specifically what you want isn't really an oversight on their part.
EDIT: This carries on to the less palatable decisions being made by the folk at Activision and their increasingly horrible pay and price structures. I don't like it but I can't blame them for milking the cows that clearly don't mind it.
