It's pretty much a VMU. I had one, until my friends dog ate it (Along with all my save files). It's a neat little product. If you can find one cheap, pick it up.
It work with the US Ray Crisis. I don't know of any other games though.
What ever happened to the PocketStation? I remember reading how popular it was in Japan, but why didn't it ever come out in the U.S.? Just seems like a very strange thing (it was immensely popular, then nowhere to be found).

Boo, Hiss.
By "works with", I mean there's an english mini-game you can play with your Ray Crisis data. Other than that, it works like a normal VMU/memory card.

Did you ever play the Raycrisis minigame yourself?
I think the main thing that held the Pocket Station from coming out here is the fact that it eats 2032's like candy. It's a sorta nice trinket thing , I guess, and the clock on there was sure handy and using it for FF8 got some inquiries from people that saw it... other than that, titles supported it but I never really noticed.
Works with US Chocobo Racing too. Neat lil game. I like the VMU a tiny bit better than it, but I'll be damned if it wasn't cool. I didn't know Ray Crisis had a minigame... thanks for the heads up.

I still use my PocketStation for when I play DDR in the arcades. I've gone through 2 so far...the little cover thingy kept breaking off and it got annoying =\
Play Guitar Hero //
I think it is definitely a bit too pricey... $40-50 and it only has 15 blocks. If it was cheaper I would want one more...

Weave... dodge... shoot.
And it doesn't seem to be supported anymore. Seemed to only be supported by games that came out around '99.
