Thread: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

  1. stats, maps, etc. True lol.

The social network, team based kill streaks, clan options, team based skill challenges, and activity calendar seems interesting though. I signed up for the Beta. It will be available for Black Ops for this summer.

The Year's Most Anticipated Title Prepares for PC Launch

August 29, 2011 - Valve today confirmed that the year's most anticipated game, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (PC), will use the Steamworks suite of services. Pre-purchase reservations are now available via Steam, a leading platform for PC and Mac games with over 30 million accounts around the world.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is slated for worldwide release on November 8 at retailers across the globe and via Steam. Those who pre-purchase the game will be able to start playing immediately upon its release on Steam. Published by Activision Publishing, Inc., Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is being developed by Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games.

The PC version of the product will be powered with Steamworks for both the digital and tangible versions of the game and, as with all Steamworks titles, offline play will also be supported along with Auto-Updating, Achievements, and more. When it's a press release, you don't need the question mark.

It's too bad we can't get the BF3 gameplay with the MW3 framework. As it is, they're both a pass.

As if you ever played Battlefield or MW before right, heh.

I've played MW... single player. Multiplayer can typically fuck off, although BF3 looked interesting enough for me to try it until Origin ruined it.

  6. Your loss.

  7. Did he really just pick up dude's dogtags like a spinning Mario powerup at 0:57?
Also whats with the rambo/commando trailer - aint no one surviving in all that crossfire in Duty.

  8. Laughable. For comparison's sake:

I know what I just build a PC for, and it sure wasn't for MW3

  9. This generation, ladies and gentlemen:

How quickly do you want to reach Prestige in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3? If you want to take advantage of a never-ending stream of double XP (amongst other things), you'll want to grab some Mountain Dew. Two "Game Fuel" flavors are coming back, and in a unique promotion with Activision, purchasing a bottle will give you access to double experience time.

The "Rank Up Your Game with Double XP" promotion will begin in October, giving fans a chance to stock up on codes before the game's November launch. Both citrus-cherry and tropical flavors of Game Fuel will unlock double XP time. If you can't stand Mountain Dew, there is an alternative: the XP promotion also extends to Doritos tortilla chips, through the "Power of One" program.

"DEW fans have been clamoring for the return of Mountain Dew Game Fuel, so we wanted to really fire them up with a partnership that gets to the core of what DEW is all about," Mountain Dew VP of marketing Brett O'Brien said in a press release. "With this partnership we get to make sure that Mountain Dew fuels both the fans and their Call of Duty gameplay while they play Modern Warfare 3."

"For many of our gamers, Call of Duty and Mountain Dew go hand in hand, and together we wanted to deliver gamers a one-of-a-kind program around the epic Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer," Activision's chief marketing officer Tim Ellis added.
