This reminds me something fierce of Alien 3 for SNES. (which predates Super Metroid, interestingly enough)

I'm leaning toward this, but I'll wait and listen to see what others say. So far so good- and the choice of WayForward as developer seems to be a nice move. The vehicle scene @ around 1:08 reminded me of Contra III.

Sega needs to snap up not just Capcom's AvP arcade, but also Konami's Aliens one (add in an option to play US or Japanese version, since the JPN version has some favorable differences). Hell, they can dust off their own Alien 3 gun game as a PS3 DLC.

It's not 100% better, just different. I get a sense the Japanese version was kind of "Version 1.0" and the US one is "1.2".
