Well I guess it is a long road approach. For the reasons mentioned square gates can be pretty harsh until you are used to precise motions. But when you are, there is nothing like them. So, it's really a question of how far you want to take I guess.

There's nothing to stop you from the same precise motions regardless of what gate you use, if you're not digging on that edge. So whateves.
I get precise motions from my circle gate and I ride the very edge of that shit. My joystick has marks at the base where I'm scratching the shit out of the chassis. Fuck what you heard. Square gates are not better than circles and the opposite is also true. Just depends on what you're used to.
The only thing I can see being debunked is controller is the same as arcade stick. Top pad players are moving towards sticks. Wolfkrone said his Viper isn't as good as it could have been for EVO because he was limited by what he could do on a pad and I believe it.
2015 we'll all be using hitboxes anyway.
I can't play piano I can't imagine playing on a hitbox.
