PS3 Mortal Kombat has slowdown that the 360 version doesn't have.
PS3 sucks.
I think the parts in the SE Sticks would be comparable to the Agetec DC stick. Not Sanwa but japanese style and decent enough for a beginner.

Playing ranked match. I'm a level 2. The other guy's a level 15.
After he wins he sends me: clown
Me: lol
10 minutes later
Me: still lollin' SRS BSNS
Him: Fuck you learn how to play faggot
Me: lollin' harder
Him: Fuck You
Me: lolopagusoctopus
Boo, Hiss.
I tried some ranked matchmaking yesterday for the first time since release day. Why does it always connect me to "yellow" or "?" connections?
I think I had maybe one or two "green" connection matches in the dozen or so I played, and even then, "green" matches didn't run nearly as well than the TNL games we've been running.
I don't get why ranked games run so poorly but our TNL rooms run fine.
The reason Evo runs on PS3s is that Sony sponsored the event in 2009 and gave them about 50 PS3s. There's no way they're going out and buying tens of thousands of dollars worth of X360s to switch.
However, players have complained about the PS3 port of SSF4 and MvC3, and the rumor is that AE 2012 next year is going to be on PC. This would allow them to have more sponsorships, but the issue is that the only other fighting game of any note getting a PC release other than SF4 is... Melty Blood. -_- Unless they know something about the market that I don't (the arcade versions of everything other than Tekken and VF run on Windows XP embedded, either on Type X-2 or Ringwide).
Ponder himself admitted he and his brother inkblot bought the vast majority of the PS3s used for EVO during this year's EVO 2k11 SRK Daily Cup. Even if Sony sponsored the event they would never donate that many PS3s. Ever. That'd be $50k worth of hardware at the time. Anyway, they're not doing it on PC. I wouldn't mind it but the cost to get PCs to run the games would be more expensive than buying 360s.
