All this talk about the Blood Dragon made me remember I didn't have much time to put into Far Cry 3 on PC after I got it for Christmas. Now I remember why. I've got a trackball, not a mouse, and it doesn't have a scroll wheel. There's a thread on how to fix this at Ubi's forums, but it's stupid that I'd have to go to that much trouble to re-bind a key. I'd forgotten how bad the PC port of Far Cry 3 is, not only for the keybinding functions but also the amazingly terrible menu system.

I guess he saying that if you don't use a gamepad, a scroll wheel is required. I used one too and agree with everything you said. Turned a couple things to medium and get a constant 60 FPS. Glorious
That's not the only interface fuckup. Rebind the use key and suddenly you won't be able to exit vehicles.
Whenever I think about playing an FPS with a controller, the children's rhyme "I eat my peas with honey" runs through my head.

You can't play Quake III or that new RotT with a pad, but you can certainly play FarCry.
Speaking of which, does anyone on TNL want to start playing Q3 again? I need to get used to KB/M again if I want to play the new RotT

I can't play the game and have a good time. That's the point. I wouldn't be bitching about it if I could. I'm unhappy with Ubisoft because the only control method I've ever felt comfortable playing FPSes with isn't an option here due to their half-assed port job.
