Thread: Luigi's Mansion 2 (3DS)

  1. No, I just buy the full priced games right away and then get cheap ones when I hit 'See all Specials' and find 6 games in there that are all $3 or less. Like the BIT.TRIP games. When am I going to play those?

But yeah, $40 for a 3DS game is a turn off for me.

3DS stuff goes on sale enough that you don't really have to pay full price very often if you don't mind waiting a while.

Yeah, I bought almost all my 3DS games by cycling the $15 K Mart codes. I probably actually made a profit on some of them. And the few games I've bought on Vita were on sale or I had PSN credit already. When $40 is about what I want to spend on PC/console games, portable games need to be ~$25 or less to really be compelling.

The solution here is to have a well-curated wishlist. When a sale appears, don't look at the sale itself. Look at your wishlist and see if anything on there is on sale enough to justify a purchase.

I have a wish list that is even prioritized, but I can't help but look still.

I have a $5 K-Mart receipt coupon and this is on sale for $35 there this week. I'm STILL waiting on this considering what's come out lately. I even bought a 3DS with this in mind! Shame. It would've been a good deal!

    Mama mia!

  8. Finally cracked into this today. Played through the first area and so far I'm loving it. Glad to see the that it turned out well. It's a very charming game, I love hearing Luigi hum the music.

  9. This is a lovely way to spend 45 minutes at a time.
    Boo, Hiss.

  10. Weegee's Mansion is so great. I love how animated Weegee is. Nick, please tell Next Level Games that they did a really good job.
