I liked SPM too. I am not alone!

  2. I can't get into Paper Mario. I love how it looks but it just does nothing for me. Tried the original, TYD, Super etc...

    NO YOUR'E A BAD PERSON.

The first game was one of those weird wonderful games that made the 32-64bit era the best. I remember before it came out, people were calling it a baby rpg. It was the least baby rpg of any rpg...

The second suffered from being a pretty great game that just went on for longer than it should have. ~ Vivian ~ was super cute though.
    Donk

  9. Sticker Star is so...un-RPG.

Like the battles are turn based but there's no leveling. The only point in battles is to get coins, stickers, or sometimes clearing an area creates effects in the environments.

I like it a lot so far. It means not only is the gameplay the same fun Paper Mario stuff, but there's no real boredom in a grind. You can take on whatever you want. I thought the sticker thing coulda been a bad thing, but since you get so many, and coins so plentiful when you fight, it's actually pretty easy to restock. Plus, the only incentive to refill stickers is for fights, which are only for getting coins/stickers for future fights...it's a good cyclical thing that keeps any part of gameplay from feeling grindy.

  10. Massive mistake removing XP. Who doesn't like gaining levels? Watching a progress bar march its way inexorably to more power? Otherwise, I like the game a lot. Just think they went overboard simplifying with no real pay-off.
