Thread: JAJR - Just Another Jamma Rig

  1. JAJR - Just Another Jamma Rig

While we're on the subject of JAMMA rigs, I thought I'd share my creations:

Includes a standard arcade PSU, uses neo sticks or pads, has a JAMMA port in the back (uses a 4-foot JAMMA extension cable). Uses the original SNES AV port for video, s-video and RGB + audio outputs (also uses SNES AV cables of all kinds). Cooling fan in the center. Still need to add test/slam switches, and a port for CPS2 kick-harness.

For all that effort, this is the JAMMA rig I use now:

    Then there's this:

Computer and HD + PSU in a sega Virtual Stick Pro. Work in progress - it's functional, but I've lost interest in finishing it. More info...
Please stop confusing your opinion with fact.

  2. The SNES one looks excellent. In design it comes very close to my MiracleRay. With the AV ports, I mean. I like the coloring you gave to the SNES.

    Very cool projects altogether.

This one works fine too. At least you don't have to worry about what's happening inside the box.

After MiracleRay, I designed a very small and portable JAMMA setup which attached to the PSOne LCD screen. But due to other research I am currently doing, I don't have the time to complete the project.

  3. Wow, I haven't seen NEOGEOman since the final few days of GG!, where have you been hiding? Your JAMMA setups are pretty cool, I love the paint job on the SNES. I've seen them made out of old computer bodies and even a 1st model Genesis. It's too bad I have no idea how to do that kind of stuff.

  4. Good one, NEOGEOman.

As for one made from a PC tower... that would be interesting, especially if it could house the PCB as well as the necessary hardware.

    Finished in 2021: 8 games (PC: 4, PS4: 2, PS3: 1, X1: 1)
