Fighting Game Tournament Discussion or Something

Naoto is a hard character to play, a lot of her stuff relies on the fact she has the fastest instant air dash in the game, some decent range from her Persona and her SMP loops. Proper use of traps requires a lot of crossing up, throw/throw baits, All out attacks. All things that you need to be able to convert into an SMP loop at any given chance.

Also I guess a lot of North East players aren't going to EVO? Not sure their reasoning, but it's their choice. Just find it kind of odd.

Chris G is probably the only one I really would be disappointed to see him not show up since he's pretty exciting to watch in a lot of games. I don't know what their final decision will be but all of it seems pretty silly to not go to a major competition when you've already been going around all year. And this one offers a larger payout and more competition.

e: honestly I could take or leave chris g going to evo, he's a talented player but holy shit can that morridoom vergil get boring to watch sometimes in marvel

e2: actually the thing I'm most excited about this year at evo is the ST revival tournament again, the tournament of champions was some great shit last time

I think some people are going to VxG instead of Evo or something. Maybe. But probably not that many.

That and/or whining about how their payouts aren't enough because they have this amazingly hilarious idea that there's some significant amount of money in fighting games right now and it's all being hoarded by tournament organizers.

It just makes me sad that the top player in a game isn't showing up for the game is disappointing. The people who can't win it anyways (even though they're great players) I care much less about.

It's also weird to me that they make it out to every tournament but when it comes two tournaments between the beginning and end of a month they can't do it? But Vacation time etc I can understand.
