Thread: Fighting Game Tournament Discussion or Something

  1. SSBM on Wii U with good online play would sell more Wii Us than anything else they could do.

  2. This is Nintentdo's way of making sure that the fans don't mistake Smash as a fighting game.

I’ve just receive word from Nintendo that the Evo Smash Bros. Melee stream will be allowed to proceed. We will be restoring the original stream and tournament schedules. Obviously this is a huge relive for all of us here and we’re thrilled that the world will get to see the best Smash players fight it out this weekend. Thanks to everyone online who supported both Evo and Smash.
that took all of 3 or 4 hours to reverse

I know, god damn. It's been done, sitting with Capcom for months. Patching is free now on 360, they've got no excuses.

  5. Wow, is patching free now for MS? I hadn't heard that.

  6. Me neither, bout time.

  7. Nintendo should only let them stream Smash Bros if they agree to play the game properly with all items on high frequency and random stage select.

  8. Wow, Nintendo didn't just want them not to stream the game, but to not have it at the tourney at all.

"They were not only trying to shut down the stream", he told OneMoreGameTV, "they were trying to shut down the event, the Smash portion of the event".

It was only when Evo's organisers "wig-wammed their way through" conversations with the company's legal department that Nintendo agreed to only go after the streaming portion of the event (a decision they later reversed).

We're still waiting on comment from Nintendo of America over the matter, and will update if we hear back.

  9. What fucktards.
    Check out Mr. Businessman
He bought some wild, wild life
On the way to the stock exchange
He got some wild, wild life

  10. Seriously. I love my 3DS and some of the games on it, but what on a company level has Nintendo done right lately?
