Thread: Ninja Spirit

  1. Photo Boy is my favorite Irem game that I've played, but Ninja Spirit is pretty cool. About the best TG-16 has to offer graphically and musically.

  2. Best Graphics

Maybe...but dont forget about Bonk,Legendary Axe,Dungeon Explorer,Aeroblasters,Andre Panza Kickboxing, Alien\Devils Crush and...sigh...Keith Courage (after transformation of course) for impressive 16 bit (yeah..I know) graphics.

I forgot they did Vigilante...that one was always fun.

  3. I loved this game in the arcades and on the amiga 500! (still got the box hehe).

Awesome weapons, control, graphic style. My fave weapon was the sword because all you had to do was keep slashing the air, and the wind trails or whatever those blue things are, would deflect any enemy projectiles and keep you safe. The game kind of reminds me a bit of ninja gaiden. (the sprite also looks a bit like lion-o from the thundercats)

  4. Ooh!

I've got that one in the mail righ now! I can't wait. I've been wanting this one for such a long time. Just a couple more days.

That level was too damn hard.

Yeah, that falling part stopped me cold. Any tips?

  8. Man I love Ninja Spirit. That game is a hell of alot of fun, although that last stage falling with the ninja still causes me pain. As for Keith Courage though... I'm sorry but that game was mediocre at best. Haoh is give to delusions at times, and thinking Keith Courage is one the best TG-16 games ever is one of them.

Well... practice practice practice is the best advice.

Oh and if I remember correctly there was like a little safe spot on the left hand side, that you could fall down forever without getting hit. So practice alot and keep close to the left wall.

  10. NINJA SPIRIT is just about the coolest TG16 game there is. A few months ago I decided to dig up all my old Turbo games and give them a whirl, but while carrying them to my room I tripped and fell, spilling HuCards everywhere. I managed to find every single one except, you guessed it, Ninja Spirit. I'm so upset that I lost it. *sob* It was the only game other than BONK that I probably woulda enjoyed too - I was really upset to find out how poorly most of this crap aged. I still get the shivers when I think of the horror that was replaying VALIS II. Aside from J.B. HAROLD MURDER CLUB and Y'S all the Turbo CD games I replayed...they hurt. Bad.
