Thanks for the kind words. This one was harder to find a home for than most, but I'm glad it found a good one. I like Gamasutra a lot and expect to be sending them more of my writing.

Why would anyone say Donkey Kong was the first game with physics? Spacewar! in 1961 had a star in the center, complete with gravity. Not that I've ever played it, but it's pretty clearly physics at work. Hell, even Asteroids has momentum physics playing an incredibly important part in both control of the ship and the movement of the asteroids.
