Interesting read. It probably amounts to Hollywood finding ways to not pay taxes.
I suppose it should be expected from the 1%. Regardless of industry.

Yeah, it's fucked up. Kevin Smith was talking on one of his podcasts about how he wanted to do Clerks 3, but the guy who played Dante refused to do it until he gets the cut he was supposed to from the original, which still hasn't turned a profit on paper. Kevin looked into it, dug up all the financials, confronted Harvey Weinstein about it, and his response was a nonchalant 'eh, the lawyers'll sort it out.' Apparently ripping people off, getting sued for it, and settling is a routine and expected part of the business, something Smith & co. should have expected.
