The more I think about this the easier it is. They're more than likely basing the Nextbox devkits around Windows 8. They're probably just debugging specs for the current system and what they think the next will be to get that stuff started early.
More likely 360 and Windows share a bit of kernel code and this is some low level error string that won't ever be touched on a PC. Nevermind the practical impossibility of emulating a 360 on any PC in the near future anyhow.
Why would it need to be emulated? DirectX is a standard platform. If the Xbox architecture were to be made a part of the next release, the games would run natively. No emulation required.

I think this is bullshit for no other reason than that it is something for which MS isn't imposing a separate charge.
Why would they do something like this for free.
Microsoft had this idea ages ago. Well before the 360 launched, I remember reading something about Microsoft developing hardware to allow PCs to play all Xbox brand games.
I still kinda doubt it though.
