Windows 8 To Be 360 Game Compatible?

3DOs were kind of dumb. I understand it worked ok anyway.

Not nothing, we shouldn't entirely rule out the possibility of high level emulation, but it's wouldn't exactly be an elegant solution.

It may be something more to the effect of allowing devs to make games that run on both platforms, rather than allowing the PC to run existing 360 games.

Sorta not really. You had to have specific cd drives and other loopy shit, and by your comparison, ps2 sucked because the toy story game graphics weren't the same as the movies. 3DO certainly did not meet its potential, but you can't bash the entire platform because of one game.
