What I've seen from Ridley Scott has been mostly shit since he's had access to CG. However I'ma still hold out for hope that a Blade Runner prequel/sequel will be good. Despite all evidence to the contrary I want to believe that the old man has some magic left in him.

He isn't a replicant in the book. It's very clear about that

I have a problem with Ridley going so far to make a confirmation either way. In Prometheus, there weren't any obvious clues to confirm that Charlize Theron's character was an android. I just dislike any version of the movie with the damned unicorn dream, even though the earlier cuts offer enough clues of Deckard's identity.

I just saw Prometheus and I didn't even THINK of that.
Maybe in the directors cut, the captain goes to her and says, "What are you some kind of fucking robot?' to which she replies "Yes, I'm a fucking robot, now lets get fucking!". They never find the engineers and wait maybe I just watched a porno...
