Thread: 2011 NFL Season

No, he's not. He was an awful QB in college. He made up for that by running the option well, which is worthless in the NFL. He's absolutely the worst starter in the league and worse than at least half the teams' backups, including both of his own. He has a noodle arm and a ten cent head, which is a bad combination in the NFL.

edit: What position is he going to play? Fullback? He's not an NFL RB. Maybe he can tackle and play safety or some shit, though he's probably too dumb to make those reads too.

  2. I think he'd be a very scary red zone/short yardage type back. I'd say you could use him a two-way player in specific packages, but you're right about his football IQ and I don't know if he can pull it off.

I disagree on the short yardage stuff. I think he's only effective because he's lining up at QB, so you have to respect the true RB as well. If people could ignore McGahee, and just line him up, he'd never score.

edit: About the only place I'd worry about him if I were drawing up a D would be on a bubble screen, where he had blockers and could be on a CB.

The Rams have two safeties. When was the last time that happened I wonder.

  5. Interestingly enough, the Rams have the record for most in a game, with 3.

  6. I can't believe the one week where Chargers are playing in a crazy game and it's not showing in LA.

  7. San Diego is terrible. Do they seriously think they are going to win a Super Bowl with Norv Turner? It's not like they haven't had the talent. Get rid of that clown already.

  8. The Pats will lose next week, and not make the playoffs this year because the defense is a joke.

  9. Pats suck.

Let's just fly the Lombardi trophy into Wisconsin, reset the records, and start a new season next week.

  10. So looking at the highlights, it seems like Denver just read-optioned the Raiders to death?

I thought that was only supposed to work against college teams?
