Forza Motorsport 4

I have the "Essentials" version of Forza that came with the new 250 hd Xbox bundle which according to the Forza forums is basically a stripped down/remixed version of the full game. Apparently it's missing a bunch of car packages and maybe even some tracks but I don't have both versions to compare so I have no reference but what other people have said online.

Anyway, so far I've been enjoying it which is weird since I've developed more of an affinity towards arcade style racers but this is still a pretty fun sim game that doesn't feel as boring as say Gran Turismo which drives me crazy with their license training.

I'm just going to keep playing this version and hold out for an "Ultimate" edition in the mean time. I could get all the DLC and have essentially a fuller game but:

A) I don't feel like buying extra stuff that should have been in the game anyway and

B) I'm not THAT invested in the game so as to want it all right now

Worse comes to worse I'll just get the full game again since this edition of Forza was pretty much a free pack in game anyway.

Maybe all you have to do is borrow/rent a Forza 4 and just install the second disk that comes with it?
That's really gay that they did that. From what I've seen, there's no indication that you aren't getting the full game.

I didn't know that existed. It's like those old 3D card bundles.

BUT if they took out the lame tracks, then it's the best version

Nope, 2nd disc install doesn't work either. This edition supposedly takes a range of cars from both discs and gives you some sort of remix but not the entire set of cars in the 2 disc release. Not too sure about the tracks though so I'd have to get back to you on that one.

I'm not sure if the Black Friday sale is still up (my LIVE gold ran out) but they had the Porsche pack for 800 msp and a bunch of other car packs for cheap, I basically caved in like a sucker and bought a few things despite my previous intentions not to so I probably won't be buying another edition.
