I'll wager that nearly (nearly, not total) all of you haven't ever killed your own meat. Even less have done it face to face. Slit a pigs throat. Shoot a bolt through a cow's head. It'll change the way you look at consumption of meat and may put you off being a carnivore. I think at some point in early adulthood everyone should have to do this. Make a choice - are you, or aren't you, a killer?

I've shot turkey and grouse before. Didn't change my outlook on Thanksgiving one bit. It's not like I hadn't a clue what was going on to get the turkey in my oven to begin with.

That's the thing, there's nothing wrong with doing it, and if you have the fortitude for it then awesome!

But it's safe to assume some people wouldn't have the stomach for it. Nothing wrong with that either.

Well, the results may be right, but I think some people get their for stupid reasons.
