It's true, it really is a beyond-solid year. Bangai-O HD is an original sequel, by the way, not a remake. You also forgot Radiant Silvergun.

I'm pretty sure in future years, games like Portal 2, Deus Ex: HR, and Witcher 2 are going to be looked at as classics.

I brought the goods. And I also included Star Wars: The Old Republic for you even though: (a) it will probably be delayed; and (b) not very good. Actually I have no idea about Star Wars: The Old Republic, I've seen maybe all of 2 minutes of it in action.

Fair point, but I made the concession for games all but guaranteed to be released in 2011, which also look very good, and will be played on a notable scale. And also Star Wars: The Old Republic.

My personal favorite is FFXIII-2 (JP). That game has zero chance of being good though, so maybe not being able to understand the story would make it better.

I think it does look like it could be good, admittedly I really like the incorporation of time travel and alternate timelines in the story and game structure. Beyond that, having the well-regarded combat system in place from the original has allowed for creative and interesting features elsewhere. I did throw in the JP version for good measure, although it might not have the ideal combination of English text and Japanese audio (like a later Chinese version?).

FFXIII- 2 looks pretty great! Better than Secret of Mana, 7th Guest, Star Fox, Kirby's Adventure and Link to the Past (5th worst Zelda) put together!

And looking back 93, 94, 98 and 2000 were all exceptional years. I honestly think every year since this generation launched has had some pretty terrific games. I don't have as much spare time to play games as I used to but I still make time. Always will. 2011 has been gangbusters, too. So much solid shit. I'll never play it all. I just played the new Forza and am loving the new racing games this year (and historically I am not a fan of racing games).
