There's a port of Robotron in Williams Arcade's Greatest Hits SNES.

  2. Cool. Thanks.

If you want a cheap converter just pick up a Game Genie. Otherwise, grab some wire snips and cut off the plastic tabs on the inside of the cart slot. Pretty much every SFC games except Mario RPG will play in a us SNES.

As far as Double Dragon goes, it's like the SNES version is unfinished. It's been a long time since I played the SFC game so I don't remember the specifics, but it was tweaked and overall more fun. I've been meaning to pick it up one of these days.

Kind of related: I've been playing a lot of SNES lately. I repaired the broken ac port on my original 93 Christmas SNES, and the other day I threw the motherboard into a PAL SNES case that I got from Josh a while back since my old system was bright yellow. This is entirely unnecessay since I already have a Super Famicom, but this one has a SNES logo now!

Cool. I'm going to try snipping the plastic tabs in the cartridge slot later on tonight then. It doesn't seem like there is any way I can fuck it up. It I do, I'll just get another SNES off of Ebay. No way am I going to play an unfinished Double Dragon game

  7. I don't want to make an entirely new thread for this, so I figured I'll ask it here as well.

I just got a Saturn from Pineapple, and picked up a copy of Astal on ebay for about $20. I'm crossing my fingers that the game is good. I was thinking about importing some games for the Saturn as well. So, if you guys have any suggestions for import friendly Japanese Saturn, SNES, or Genesis games, let me know.

And, more specifically, does anybody know if that Capcom Dungeons and Dragons Collection beat 'em up game, for the Saturn, is English friendly?

  8. Keio 2 is a nice looking Saturn platformer, there's a Euro release of it out there too. Enjoyed Willy Wombat for Saturn too.

Keio 2 looks like it would be a game I could play, and it looks right up my alley. I'll add it to my list of games to buy.

Willy Wombat looks cool too. Unfortunately, based on this video, it looks like the camera system might upset my motion sickness a bit. Does the camera in this game really move around that much? Or is this guy just not playing it right?

Argh, I typed out a long post, and the phone ate it. Brief summary: Saturn import fighters are awesome, and it has good shooters like the beach has grains of sand.

Do you have a Pro Action Replay or region switch?
