  1. Mario 64 is neat. I enjoyed running around doing aimless stuff a whole lot in that game.

  2. Running away from 1-ups was the best. I want a game about running away from things that controls like Mario 64.

  5. That's crazy. Mario 64 was so happening at release. I've never been so awe struck by a game. It reached into my mind and fondled all the fun dendrites simultaneously.

    Yeah, if you didn't play it in 1996, you may not get the impact it had. I think most of that generation's best 3D games are that way: Panzer Dragoon, Resident Evil, Tomb Raider, etc.

    Tomb Raider was so fucking cool when it first came out on PC. I had to play it in a tiny window just to have an acceptable framerate... and then the 3dfx patch came out. Holy shit.
