Death Mode is so stupid. It's all about praying the pieces don't spawn halfway across the screen making it literally impossible to complete that run.
#46 - Sound Shapes (Vita/PS3 cross play)
Definitely a style-over-substance, way too easy music platformer. Fun distraction with a cool level editor. Finished off the main game, death mode and the beat school for the Platinum.

28. STAR WARS: KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC (XBOX)
Beat it with a Male Soldier/Jedi Guardian at max level and got all 3 endings (Jedi, Sith, Secret)
Great story for a Star Wars title and really much better than the prequel trilogy drivel that Lucas wrote; the game does suffer from bugs galore with the text trees, slowdown in FMVs and struggling full 3D graphics engine but you can see where the potential of Western development was heading at the time. Felt rushed as a number of gameplay portions feel like they could be fleshed out better such as classes and skills where many are useless/have little impact but still very much worth playing

2013 Completion (2): PC (1), 360 (1)
Should've gone with the PC version. It plays exactly like the older Bioware PC games and didn't have any of those issues iirc.

12. Uncharted: Golden Abyss (PSV, Hard)
With the consoles limping along during what should really bf the next generation, and the PC being held back by multiplatform titles shared with those dinosaurs, 2012 is the year of the portable. Resident Evil: Revelations was easily the best portable game ever when I played it, but now it has a #1a. I'm not even going to try to split hairs to pick a winner between them, because they are both 95% of what I have always wanted: real games on the go. Unfortunately both Capcom and Bend fell into the trap of using touch and gyro bullshit, thus the other 5%. But considering where portable gaming was as recently as two years ago, I'll overlook this offense and hope more of my favorite series are done this well on the go in the future before the tablet tidal wave drowns dedicated portables for good.
9/10
2012 Totals:
1 3DS, 1 FC, 2 iOS, 2 PC, 1 PS2, 4 PS3, 1 PSV
2 - 6s, 2 - 7s, 3 - 8s, 4 - 9s, 1-10
How in the world is it the year of the portable when the dedicated ones have maybe two games between them and the most popular one doesn't even have buttons?
Because Yoshi.
Prisoner of the moment imo
I would really like to see the Vita do well but I realize I am part of the problem.
