I should rent this and try to make He-Man characters.

  2. Finished Paper Mario, it was sweet as everyone says but not utterly amazing. Still plan to get Super Paper Mario though. Playing Mario Galaxy 2, pretty incredible..can't believe how good everything looks and all at 60fps. Gunblade NY and LA Machines Guns lacks charm for being so short. This is no Ghost Squad. The slowdown is fucking lol, and I don't remember these games looking this bad in the arcade.

There was a Paper Mario 2 on the GC, Super Paper Mario isn't really the same type of game.

Star Wars: The Old Republic (PC) - raptr tells me I have played 384 hours of this. To put that in perspective, it tells me I've played 90 hours of Skyrim. I've slowed down a little bit, because MechDeus and I have been trying to align our schedules to do entire planets' worth of quests together, which is tough. There is no question that I will eventually get all eight main classes to level 50 to see the individual class stories, because the ones I have seen so far ar that good, and I have heard that some of the others are even better. I'm really looking forward to JBNagis and Chux getting to 50 as well so that we can have guild runs of the hard mode Flashpoints. And maybe ShinMyk and Despair will return from their carbonite induced sleeps.

Resident Evil: Revelations (3DS) - My Circle Pad Pro hasn't come yet (today please?), so I have been struggling with how much to play before it comes. I talked to my brother last night, and he's a couple campaign chapters ahead of me and has unlocked the co-op mode, which he says is awesome. So now my wait is even harder. I hope this game hasn't fully tapped the 3DS, because while it looks great, I am not sure it's 3-4 years from now great. Actually, I am sure it is not. However, the gameplay is spot on. I wish 6 was going to be just like this, because the specter of 5 still makes me leary about any unknown.

DoDonPachi: Blissful Death (iOS) - This is a port of Dai Ou Jou, and I find it harder than the other iOS releases. So far I have only tried one ship/"doll" combination, so that could be part of it. There are achievements for beating the game with all six combinations, so there's no point in moving on until I whip this one, and I refuse to use continues. The vertical STGs work better on the iPhone than the horizontal ones, because it's more comfortable to hold the device upright and use the touch. So even though Deathsmiles is my favorite Cave game, it's my least played iOS port. In that spirit, I really want Ketsui next.

Finally, I am debating which PS3 game to get back into:
    • Castlevania to finish Paladin and the DLC
    • Demon's Souls to finally beat it and move on to Dark Souls
    • Uncharted 3 to finish Crushing

I also have Catherine, Ico/SotC, both KillZones, and both Yakuzas untouched.

edit: Son of a bitch. I forgot Mass Effect 2, which I really need to play in order to have a save to transfer to 3, since Origin can blow me, and my old saves are on PC.

  5. Don't bother with the Castlevania DLC. It's was awful. It's not even worth trying if it was free.

  6. I played N64 Paper Mario for like 4 or 5 hours before losing interest and selling it.

I'd just rather replay Super Mario RPG.

  7. I took a brief hiatus from Phantasy Star II... about three years ago. I'm going to finish it.

Ah, my bad that's the one I was playing, Paper Mario 2: TTYD. Going to skip the first one, as N64 is just really hard on the eyes and I can't be bothered with games I haven't already played on it. Though I'm debating playing through Sin & Punishment before I start Star Successor. Heh. Got around to messing with Trouble Witches Neo..not a bad little shooter at all.

N64 Paper Mario is a 2D game with animated sprites. It looks fine.

It's the 3D polygonal stuff that looks shitty from that era.

  10. Playing Metal Gear Solid 3 on the HD collection, just beat The Pain, this game is 60% video, 20% boss fight and 20% of shitty sneaking around. It is still good though, but so far, not as good as MGS1 or 2.
