Thread: XCOM: Enemy Unknown - FIRAXIS, TURN-BASED

  1. $40 at Gamefly with code 2GFT82012.

Finally finished the tutorial, started on Hardcore Classic, lost my first soldier on turn 3. I would have lost even more if that grenade toss didn't land right between two asshole sectoids!

I also noticed a squad of aliens wander into my firefight which didn't happen once in the ~6 missions I played on Normal. Classic for life.

I kind of love this game.

    edit: DAMMIT CHUCK

  2. I think the Greenman 25% promo and Gamefly 20% are both over so unless you wanted to go for some sketchy key-selling site, you probably made the right/only choice.

BUT HAY MAYBE THE GAMEFLY CODE ISN'T OVER AND ED KNOWS EVERYTHING

  3. $10 won't kill me ed, also I already used that code for TL2.

I just saw it posted on GAF earlier today! It won't let me check if it's still active without entering a credit card so fuck em.

edit: There are a few bugs that are making Ironman problematic. The big one is when the enemy turn never ends which may or may not result in a ruined save.

  5. Been playing this almost nonstop when I have a free moment. Last night panic in Asia was pretty high, I get an Abduction notice. We've got Australia, very easy, 4 sci. UK, Very Easy, 4 Eng. Japan, Very Difficult, $200.

Get fucked game, did the mission super careful, no deaths and captured a sectoid, thin man, and a floater.

    OK LISTEN UP
This is the follow up to my favorite game of all time so I'm buying it right now.

Here's the dilemma, I like to hang out with my fiancee and shit. She likes to watch me play games, but I don't want to get an INFERIOR VERSION.

So should I get it for Xbhoxx or should I move my PC downstairs and plug it into my TV?

GIVE ME MULTIPLAT IMPRESSIONS in the next 10 minutes because we are going shopping

There are no rules, only consequences.

  7. Nobody on my friends list, that I've seen is playing it on XBOX. PC just makes sense here for it being the type of game it is, although I guess FFT worked fine on consoles.

  8. Get it for Gamecube

  9. I hear the game works fine with a controller. And from what I've played I don't see why it wouldn't. I'm sure mouse + hotkeys are superior but it's not a big deal.

Supposedly using a controller is the better option even on a PC.
