Thread: The Consumerist's Worst Company in America

  1. #11
Agreed. Most of the other companies are horrible, but BofA has executives who probably need to be in jail.

That's almost true. Prior to Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Collection, I hadn't bought anything Sony in years. I don't even remember the last time I went into a GameStop or a Best Buy. The only EA products I've bought within the last several years were NBA Jam: On Fire Edition and the last two Mass Effect games. I've never purchased anything Apple.

  3. Bank of America takes the crown, no contest. Or at least they should. I mean sure, EA has its issues, but they're producing games worth playing again even if they are littered with online pass bullshit. That's a huge step in the right direction. BofA just needs to die horribly.

Shut the fuck up. Try getting cable without using one of those companies.

Only Wal Mart could take out GameStop, but at least EA is still in the running! I have no clue how Microsoft wasn't chosen, but Sony (in America?) and Apple were.
    How was Netflix chosen? Seriously.

If your "need" for cable exceeds your disdain for the company, they aren't that bad. I have come to the same decision and give Time Warner more per month than I would like. But I also wouldn't have voted for them.

Some of them seem to be filler. Who hates Sears? Indifference, sure, but dislike? They make great tools and appliances.

You're still operating under the false assumption that markets and choice exist in certain industries.

  9. NetFlix is for pre-Qwickster "We're now charging for two different plans" which made prices go way up. Really, people don't realize that NetFlix used to be more expensive and went down in price, then added the streaming so it's right back to what I was paying when I first got it in 2003. I can see why some people are annoyed, but they also quickly got over it.

I have Cox cable for internet only (I don't have cable TV nor do I care to ever have it again).

Seriously. In life sometimes you have to deal with people you don't like. Since corporations are people too, my friend, sometimes you just have to deal with some pile of shit company because you want something they are selling. It doesn't mean you can't criticize them. Not every dollar is a glorious vote of support in the tricorner hat of perfection that is America's capitalist system.
