Thread: TNL Movie Club: Lost in Translation

  1. Fidelity/Platonic loss. He losses character and it's throw away derailment without substance. I get it though. This is a fantasy relationship with an older accomplished man from the perspective of a young woman, Sofia Coppola.

    Also, I liked this a lot more than Somewhere, mostly because I have an extreme aversion to anyone in the Fanning family, they make me want to puke in my mouth, so I refuse to watch that movie ever again.

    Pretty typical of Firstbutt. All he does is antagonize and complain.


    I might watch this again. I remember the scenery being very interesting. I didn't care a whole lot about the plot though

  10. I recently saw this for my first time a few months ago. Absolutely loved it. Agreed on the great opening shot.
