English isnt my native tongue, so I never really got this. Ever since like 92 I hear people reference this line "spoony bard". Ive heard it was some translators poor choice... but what the hell does it mean exactly? I feel stupid asking to have a joke spelled out for me... but help me out- ive been stumped on this for a decade!
Tellah the Sage blames Edward the Bard for the death of his daughter Annah. He calls Edward a "spoony bard" because Edward is a bard, and spoony I believe means lovesick (Edward and Annah were lovers, and Tellah did not approve). It's supposed to be some sort of insult, because Tellah is enraged and attacking Edward at the time. Mainly it just sounds goofy.
