An tale of revenge, honor and disgrace, centering on a poverty-stricken samurai who discovers the fate of his ronin son-in-law, setting in motion a tense showdown of vengeance against the house of a feudal lord.

I guess it was done around the same time as 13 Assassins. I love these films so I'll definitely check it out, a lot of the same actors from 13 Assassins are present as well. I would be very happy if Miike got really good at these films, maybe even getting close to Kurosawa, but he's got a long way to go.

The excellent original is on Hulu Plus for anyone who still wants to watch it after seeing the entire story arc in the trailer. I think I saw it on Vudu for a buck or two as well.
