Thread: Nintendo Power Calls It Quits

  1. Relaunch Nitendo Power with free Dragon Quest X.
    Donk

  2. Nintendo Power was a wonderful magazine for a very long time.

  3. I loved this mag during the SNES days. It convinced me to get so many awesome games and had me drooling over many more.

Remember the free 1-800 tip/info line Nintendo ran? That was the best customer service ever.

I think my first issue was that Super C issue, and I pretty much had the mags memorized. I couldn't buy or play the majority of the games, so the mags were the next best thing. The Super NES hype and release was pretty awesome too.

I did get some random Nintendo Power subscriptions in the GBA/Gamecube era, I think because of a free Zelda collection or something, but it was pretty much trash at that point.

  6. Pretty much. Nintendo Power was always as good as Nintendo. NES and Super NES Nintendo Power were amazing. N64 Nintendo Power was okay sometimes.

No Nintendo Power means NO NITENDO.
    Donk

  7. The strat guides/maps for games was THE shit in elementary school. Paper internet.

  8. I was all excited because I had mistakenly read the thread title as "Nintendo Calls It Quits." Selective reading...

  9. it unofficially died when they started making them 75% third party advertisements (I don't know exactly when, but in 2006 when I got all my ds crap there was an offer for 3 free issues so I said what the hell and got 'em... nothing like the nes/snes era NP)

also Top Secret Passwords is about 4 feet away from me, because I never know when I'll need the jackie chan game stage select code
