Sure there are a ton of games, but quite frankly, there's only maybe 3 titles on there that i'd care to play in 2012. If Konami made a similar arcade collection that included the Gradius series and the licensed beatemups, I'd pay $30 in a heartbeat.

Also, if they included some 90s games like the Mortal Kombats, their awesome sports games and the Cruisin series (wasn't that Midway?) This would be a must buy.

  4. Anyone who cares about playing these games already has them, and in a much cheaper format to boot.

Like Frog said, they should fill a disc to bursting and cut the price at least in half to get anyone to give a shit. Pass.

And this is Backbone, who simply can't emulate things right. They were fine and all back in the Digital Eclipse days when it was pretty impressive that "good enough" emulation was possible on the PS1, but that's just not acceptable anymore. I'd probably buy this in a heartbeat if M2 was involved, but I can't trust these fuckups. Remember how you couldn't actually access the secrets in Mortal Kombat II in the compilation last-gen because pressing start brought up the compilation's menu?

Since these don't have online, you can basically pickup the same thing plus even more games if you just stick with Midway Arcade Treasures 1, 2 and 3.
Those are good points, but I don't think the MAT discs are backwards compatible on 360.

Is this going to have any of the interviews or anything that were on the PSOne versions?

  7. Also, I really like Bubbles. That game is underrated.

Throw in Xexex JPN, Life Force JPN, Trigon, and both Salamanders- and I'd pay double that.

Midway sure could use some unreleased protos in their compilation, like Marble Madness II, Hard Drivin' Airborne, Race Drivin' Panorama (if you have multiple HDTVs set up for Forza, why not), etc. Wait, WTF... Backbone is doing it? I'm with bVork: Get M2, guys. At least they didn't waste a slot for Guardians of the Hood. Steel Talons would be a great game for Namco's Ace Combat controller.

    Most likely passing.

    Finished in 2021: 8 games (PC: 4, PS4: 2, PS3: 1, X1: 1)

I'd take that game over arcade Pit Fighter.

  10. Shit Fighter imo
