I'll wait for more impressions once this is released here. Right now I'm thinking "Wait until it's $20 on Blu-ray". At least it got the R rating, FWTW. The UK gets a lame(r?) "edited for TV" 12A rated version this time. Apparently they wanted to get the same rating as TDKR and 007 Skyfall.

Dennis Franz is hilarious in the 2nd one. Argyle the limo driver in the original deserves mention. I love the scene near the end where he finds one of Gruber's men trying to GTFO the garage, then knocks him out cold with one hit, standing there with a big ass grin right afterward.. The trash talk between Dwayne Robinson & John is also full of great quotes, even rivaling the one-liners he delivers to Hans' lackeys.

Is it now a good day for this series to die hard? Maybe not if they turn part 6 over to John McTiernan for one last go once he is free. Damn the fucking Pellicano incident! McT did the third one, and it's not too bad. If Fox doesn't want to hire McTiernan anymore, Renny Harlin would be a good 2nd choice. If neither of these guys get the director's chair, then let AGD be the last one.

I saw it Tuesday night. It's the worst Die Hard but it's not the worst action movie. 2.5 stars.

I don't know who/what that is, but you know what isn't in it? The one scene in the trailer that had any redeeming qualities.

There were so many dumb things in and about this movie, I can't even begin...
There was a pretty cool car chase in the beginning. That's the only good thing I can say about this film.
I looked up Skip Woods (screenwriter). It all makes sense now.
