Not the first couple of seasons. It was mostly freak of the week stuff.
whoa whoa whoa.
I threw in the towel after season 6 of Smallville, but I saw plenty of arcs and continuity...each season was an arc.
It definitely was a Buffy ripoff (like every CW show), which also had arcs and continuity.
Green Arrow was my favorite DC character (I blame it on Errol Flynn Robin Hood being my favorite movie before I even knew what a comic was). I tried to give Arrow a shot. It was awful.
Maybe not M.A.N.T.I.S. or Misfits of Science awful, but definitely No Reason For A Grown Man To Watch This Shit awful.
(Smallville was awful too, but I was younger when I got roped into that one.)

The problem with Arrow (apart from the usual CW soap opera relationship stuff) is that they forgot that, while Green Arrow can reasonably be accused of being a Batman knockoff with an archery gimmick, there's one crucial difference: he's Batman minus the stick up his ass.
Last green arrow book worth remembering was Longbow Hunters.
That's not wrong. I hear the new 52 stuff is Ok(?). That's kind of why I like the show, it's a blank slate to me since I didn't care about the comic.
